Domaines Leflaive Pouilly-Fuissé 2023
Domaine Leflaive have been developing vineyards in the Mâconnais since 2004 including Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly, Mâcon-Verzé, Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint-Veran. Faithful to the Domaine's philosophy the vines are grown adopting a biodynamic approach by a dedicated team. The harvest is manual and the wines are aged in the Mâconnais tradition in a dedicated cellar. The bottles produced this way are labelled "Domaines Leflaive". Domaines Leflaive cultivates 2.16 hectares in the appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé, the flagship region of the Mâconnais. The wine is aged for up to 16 months in oak (75%) of which 15% is new oak and the remaining 25% in cement eggs, before a further 6 months in stainless steel vats. There’s fine concentration to this white, lending viscosity to the texture and embracing flavors of peach, white flowers and honeydew melon. Light baking spice and pastry notes linger on the finish.
