Main Divide North Canterbury Merlot Cabernet 2022
The Main Divide North Canterbury Merlot Cabernet is made by the Donaldson family, at their Pegasus Bay winery, in the same style as the celebrated Claret from Bordeaux. After maturing in oak for 12 months, the various batches are carefully blended in varying portions to produce the most complex and balanced wine possible. The finished product is predominately Merlot, with the remainder comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and a small amount of Cabernet Franc. The Merlot gives sweet raspberry fruit flavours and a rich mid-palate, while the Cabernet contributes structure, length and wild black currant character.
